创作背景

再决定写这首歌之前，埃米纳姆曾对里克·鲁宾提出制作“复古歌曲”的想法。在这之前，埃米纳姆录了一小段音频，内容是某个人在新闻里说“go berzerk”，基于这段音频，里克·鲁宾和埃米纳姆开始了录制工作。

他们首先制作了伴奏，接下来埃米纳姆写了能够与伴奏契合的歌词。接下来他们采样了比利·斯奎尔的《The Stroke》，通过808年鼓808Drum进一步混制了歌曲，吉他的部分是里克·鲁宾弹奏的，之后他们完成了其他后期工作。随后埃米纳姆独自一人录制了歌词部分。

该首歌的采样除了比利·斯奎尔的《The Stroke》外，还取样了License to Ill中的声音片段“Kick It！”和天生顽皮的《Feel Me Flow》。

歌曲MV

2013年9月7日，埃米纳姆密歇根圣母院足球比赛的中场秀发布了《Berzerk》MV的预告。

9月9日，歌曲的MV在VEVO上首发。歌曲的MV在美国纽约市的布鲁克林区拍摄，导演是Syndrome。MV开头，埃米纳姆和里克·鲁宾走向一个大的磁带机，他们插上了电源，然后埃米纳姆对着镜头开始了说唱。让后歌中“狂暴”的场景出现，MV中，美国歌手肯德里克·拉马尔和摇滚小子进行了友情客串。
