《Beauty and a Beat》最初是DJZedd寫的，他原本是打算将這首歌收錄入他的專輯《Clarity》，但是Zedd覺得這首歌不是十分适合他的新專輯的風格，所以他和Max Martin、Savan Kotecha和Nicki Minaj共同制作了一個版本，并将這首歌收錄入Bieber的第三張錄音室專輯《Believe》中。
