樂隊簡介
1999年，PAIN脫離N.B唱片公司與另一家唱片公司STOCKHOLM RECORDS合作發行了專輯《Rebirth》[重生]大獲成功（被評為 當年的年度金唱片），為其中的單曲《End Of The Line》所拍攝的MV在很多國家電視台的音樂頻道中播放，使得越來越多的金屬樂迷開始關注這支樂隊，關注他們的音樂動向，其中大部分樂迷都是從這張專輯開始認識或者說注意PAIN的，甚至以為這張專輯是他們發表的第一張正式作品。
實早在1996年，PAIN就與德國NUCLEAR BLAST唱片公司合作發表了他們的首張同名專輯[那一年正是Hypocrisy成立10周年，同年該樂隊的第七張正式專輯問世]，但可能是由于Peter當時對自己新樂隊的音樂走向還沒有明确的認知，因此專輯中的作品顯得過于平淡，缺乏特點，并沒有給樂迷留下什麼深刻印象。
《Rebirth》發表後的一段時間裡，Peter并沒有很快着手PAIN新專輯的制作，而是将更多的精力傾注在幫助其他樂隊制作新專輯上，包括 DESTRUCTION，DIMMU BORGIR，IMMORTAL，DARK FUNERAL等多支樂隊在内的許多優秀專輯都陸續在Peter經營的 ABYSS STUDIO中瀝煉後出爐[這個在圈内極富盛名的錄音工作室其前身是Parlby當地的一家精神病院，後被Peter買下改建為工作室，ABYSS STUDIO自成立後，先後有100餘張各色專輯在此制作完成。
2002年1月，沉寂了近3年的PAIN終于浮出水面，發表了他們的第三張正式錄音室專輯《Nothing Remains The Same》[面目全非]，其中的單曲《Shut Your Mouth》[關掉你的嘴]很快登上排行榜，PAIN還特地再次邀請到曾經有過多次合作的音樂制片人Mikeadelica為他們指導該單曲MV的拍攝工作，這首歌的VIDEO拍攝很有意思，内容表現一架UFO登陸地球，降落在Peter家屋外，驚醒了午夜沉睡的Peter，飛船内的外星人居然入侵到Peter家中，并反客為主對Peter推推搡搡，指指點點。
于是Peter報警，但官方并沒有對此事予以足夠的重視。沒想到在金屬樂壇混迹了這麼長時間，Peter至今還是‘童心未泯’，這首MV被副贈在專輯中。專輯獲得了比以往兩張專輯更好的評價，Peter仍然包攬了專輯中所有最主要的工作，演唱、吉他、創作、編曲、後期制作等等，專輯中的作品更多的融入了工業及電子舞曲等時尚的音樂元素，金屬音樂元素正在逐步的消減退化，毫不客氣的講，PAIN的音樂已經完全的脫離了正統的金屬音樂模式，用個金屬迷都很忌諱的的詞就是變得很Commercial[商業化]了。
Peter稱自己在PAIN中所嘗試的音樂類型是Techno-Metal的确，在PAIN的音樂中合成器所營造的音樂氛圍構建了整部音樂最主要的骨架，隻有不時穿插在其中的厚重而強勁吉他Riff，Solo還隐約讓你體會到幾絲金屬音樂的味道（更多的樂迷喜歡将PAIN的音樂稱作工業流行金屬〈Industrial Pop Metal〉。
其實從公平的角度講，抛開Hypocrisy給我們造成的深刻印象，單就PAIN的音樂，其可聽性還是很強的，Peter作為不可多得的金屬音樂奇才，對于金屬音樂的各個層面，各個角度都充滿着無限的好奇與向往，他不希望自己的音樂總是墨守成規，更不喜歡總是一味的不斷重複以往的音樂風格，其實熟 Hypocrisy的樂迷，通過該樂隊成長過程中音樂模式的變更，就應該有所體會，Peter希望嘗試更多的在自己的音樂中加入不同的音樂素材，與自己以前所駕馭的音樂模式磨合，并不斷的在其中吸取經驗，拓寬自己的音樂視野，從而使自己的音樂可以表現更多更複雜的思想理念。
通過 《Nothing Remains The Same》，我們可以感受到PAIN的音樂逐步轉向成熟，其中有很多不錯的曲目可以推薦給大家，如《Just hate me》[憎恨我]，《Injected Paradise》[墜入天堂]，《Fade Away》[褪色]等，還有那首Peter與另一位金屬樂大師級人物Dan Swano共同合作翻唱The Beatles的作品《Eleanor Rigby》。專輯封面設計也受到樂迷的贊賞(由來自奧地利的資深視覺設計師joachim Luetke為Peter親自操刀，專輯封面在發表前兩天才最終決定)，裝扮成末世天使的Peter抑郁的遠望，他内心中存留着怎樣的痛苦，在PAIN的音樂中将注釋給你。
